Mary first gave me the name of a home inspector, which allowed me to be aware of the condition Mom's home. I consulted with her after a home inspection, getting her advice on what repairs were important and what updates were going to be the most beneficial for resale. Mary and my contractor kept in communication to help keep to a planned schedule for the sale.
The web site was fabulous, the photography gorgeous, and it was fun getting updates on the website's traffic and emails for viewing appointments. For the Open House, the flyers were beautiful, informative, and highlighted not just the freshly updated house, but also Mom's parklike backyard.
We got multiple bids the first day the house was on the market, and we accepted a bid of our asking price. When the buyers pulled out 2 weeks before closing, she was calmness personified as I was panicking, since we had rushed to get Mom's furniture and belongings ready for sale. Mary set up an Open House the day of the estate sale, taking advantage of the estate sale's traffic, and again in one day we were in a multiple bid situation! We ended up selling the house for $1000 above asking price, and what I believe is the highest $ per sq ft in that area.
If we had a question, Mary had the answer or got one for us quickly. She gave us resources for a thorough pre sale home inspection as well as maid service to get the house cleaning done. I know she had many clients she was dealing with at the same time, but I always felt like we were her priority.
